Have played the Owner game for 3 seasons now and have managed after much hard work (gambling on races) and Open Days to improve my yard to attract new owners.Was it worth it? One owner sent me 5 horses after an Open Day...then took them all back within a week! Didn't have time to even book them into any races. I have managed to win the 2m 4f Newbury Gold Cup and the 2m John Smith's Handicap Hurdle, did it attract any new owners to my yard...No. Have sent many winning tips to owners and what thanks do I get..they yank the horse out of my yard after it wins. Sometimes I get the feeling I am being used to turn crap slow horses into winners!!! The only owner who has sent me a good email is S Humphrey (after his horse won its 5th race on the trot) Will keep playing on, hoping that things may improve. How about an update Mark with these suggestions...An Owner must agree to a 6th month minimum period when moving horses to a yard before pulling horses. More options in the emails (ie 1..Back It To Win...2..Back It Each Way...3..May Have a Chance...4..Don't Bet Just Seeing How Far It Will Go) 5..Horse is Now Past It's Racing Days) It would be nice if S Humphrey shared his horses out a bit...I have 1...T Vaughan has 44 and and A Willians has 16 (nice)
