Poor day at the office.

My derby horse Mtoto was never given a chance. Oh well it is what it is.

My first group winner today and a 3rd in the Derby! Not bad for a first season. Well done all winners and placers now I'm getting the hang of it I hope to get better!

R11 Somnambulist (5th) - found things tougher today over a shorter trip. got outpaced but ran on final furlong to snatch 5th. good run.
R12 Muffin The Mule (9th) - I can't blame the draw this time. diabolical effort.
R20 In For A Penny (1st) - put his nose in front and managed to hang on. not the greatest of races, but a win is a win.

just 1 more win required to equal last season's total

only 1 of note today 2yo filly Twisted only beaten 1/2 length to a colt and ran with a penalty great performance other 2 runners ran over too far but 1 made the money out to grass now

r13 Conrad Martina 2nd another solid run
r15 Cape Blanco 2nd again tried to make all and set it up for the winner but very pleased with him
r16 Casablanca 3rd on her last run have better coming but a great run from her decent swansong g1 placed
r18 Dodge city Dame she was thrown in this and did not stay 7th
r19 Great Lady 3rd loses unbeaten record strange ride by the jockey pushed along early and came back again at the end

Warrior Queen 2nd, happy with that because she didn't trial well at the course.
Lava Man 3rd in the French derby, that's as good as he is, so well happy with that.
Ruby Tiger 4th in group1, jockey what was u doing.

But the worst ride of the season for my Horses Goes to the jockey on User Friendly( 2nd straight terrible ride), wtf was the jock doing putting her 10 lengths last in a slow run race.

It is a big fault in the racekit. If the pace is 25-28 mph early on then any horse held up can't win after 1f. Sort of ruins the league really. The courses also need sorting out. The winning times at Epsom are so fast it's unrealistic and Ascot in comparison is so slow. Track bias is also something that needs sorting out.

I've only been saying it since last season. You should look at the winning times of races and then compare them with real life, they are so far out at some tracks. Also the bias towards front runners, in slowly run races, is crazy. Ok so some races in real life become tactical or are stolen by a jockey giving a great ride. But its not the same in SO5. The Derby and Coronation weren't races at all, nor were the French Derby and Oaks.

R24 Skye Blue (6th) - never got involved. looks like she wants 2m+.
R25 Madness (16th) - is an embarrassment.
R26 Hope Springs (10th) - ran ok until stamina ran out.
R27 Grand Canyon (8th) - outpaced over 5f but doesn't seem to have the stamina for 6f.

Marling 4th in the aussie group one, always finishes fast. I think she's going to do my head in all season long.

The aussie race and the derby were run at a even pace, finally the group ones had some pace.
