Post Another "newbie" dropping in with a breeding question
Hello guys. Been a long time "guest" on this forum and thought it was about time I stopped being invisible so to speak.
Breeding question for all you breeding legends that have created true powerhouses. I have been looking to join the league for a long time! But comparing my horses to the ones I have seen uploaded they do not seem good enough. I have a what I would say is a couple of great stallions in the breeding shed and the best game mare I have ever seen and they produce g1 winner after winner but are not league standard. Does me playing on easy effect this in any way. Apologies if this has been asked before.

WELCOME  JamieP

playing on easy does not affect breeding most lge trainers play on easy
just stick at it
its about finding great stallions and mares every few generations
use the CK standard times posted as a guide to see where you are
if you are just starting out i recommend downloading some pacemakers others have posted
you dont need to run super fast times to win g1s in lge
in fact if you find a breeding line of horses that naturally run handy in ck race that
can be gold in a breeding operation just use ck times as a guide on who YOUR best is
i wouldn't recommend downloading other trainers horses that they have posted yet eg andy posted link to his
best horses that leave your horses behind trialing in ck and that can be very deflating if you are just starting out
just concentrate on improving your lines and keep trialing them
and import the best ck performers in - not every horses will perform in ck and trialing is used to sieve out the deadwood
mainly try and enjoy it and try not let it take over
you can win races in lge with only a bit of time put in
yes if you want to be competitive championship wise it needs time and patients

if you have anymore questions or need any further advice im happy to help

Jamie if u horse got a full potential bar then it would have a chance to win a h'capp in the league, it might be a low class h'capp but a win is a win. U should have entered horses in the last window, u learn a lot by just taking part even if u finish last.

These are some of the times u horses should aim for at Ascot on Good Ground.

5f- 59.00
6f- 1.12.00
1m- 1.40.00
1m2f -2.09.00
1m4f- 2.34.50

If u horses can run times like these then u got nice h'cappers, if u horses can run faster then u got good h'cappers or better.

Cheers for the help and advice guys. Finally found the strength to get back on the laptop after throwing a tantrum and a half. Cried myself to sleep after my 3YO unbeaten filly pulled up lame in the st leger. Going to be the longest 17 starters orders weeks in history. To be fair she will be back by the end of today once this shift is over.
Should have took the plunge and entered the league but there's only so much losing a man can take. Think I should take your advice as a warningand stay away ... Sadly I have always chose not to listen.
Before long I will be stood up in front of you all saying. My name is Jamie and I am an addict! Best start looking for a sponsor to help me now, before it's too late.
