Two winners for me, I needed to get a bit of form going into next week. It's been a poor few weeks. Kumbi 1st, nice to see him win. Less chance now of him winning the pertemps next week. Lady Rebecca 1st, she finally showed her best. Never came of the bridle until the final two furlongs. West Tip 0, if he doesn't win he stinks, and today he stunk.

Do u horse have to run three times to get a run in the grand National, I got it wrong on the flat so I'm not sure if u need to have run three times.

Tell you the truth Ghost no one as ever brought that up so I don't know if there is a rule I have never thought of it so if there's not a rule at the moment you cant changed it half way through the season so if there's no rule you can but I like to think no one would do it purpose to win the national. We made the decision about three runs on the flat before the group races in week 13 on the flat for the good of the league and I think that is the right decision perhaps next year we will do the same for the National. Gray I think there's no chance to get u horse well h'capped because it's such a mad race. Most horses never get round so it's not like the flat group ones. Plus it's so hard to breed long distance horses, well I cant get any over 4 miles. I was asking because my horse Caroles Clown has only run twice, and I thought I might have to run her in the big Staying race at Cheltenham. She doesn't stay 4m4furlongs but is hoping there's carnage in the National.

here's some info from last season regarding grand national entries. will the rules for the race this season be the same? Kevcon wrote: leonvr wrote: Only horses whose best runs have been 4m1 or further will show up so may have to do manual entries for all 4 mile horses. Note if your horses best run is over shorter than 4 miles then it will not qualify.
To help other trainers, can you clarify what counts as a horse's best run. Is it based purely on finishing position or do you take into account other factors such as the grade of race and the number of runners. leonvr wrote: at present its only finishing position as thats the only way it can be coded. It does mean that you will need to be careful with your entires of your horses in the future.
But as it is the first season with these rules I can look at mitigating factors so if you feel you have a case post your horse you want entered plus the reasons below. I suppose the most obvious mitigating factor is a horse winning over 3m6f or 3m7f would also have to win over 4m+ to be eligible.

Zod (13th) - His handicap mark is too high at present Macho Man (9th) - Trip was a little too short. Pertemps next week Champion Snake (5th) - Stayed on really well to finish in the money Sepang (5th) - Faded when headed but still a good run De Soto (13th) - Terribly inconsistent, probably a couple of furlongs too far Running up That Hill (8th) - Disappointing run but hopefully her mark will come down now Call The Police (8th) - Not good enough in G2 company Girl On Fire (8th) - Too many mistakes to be a threat Estoril (Fell) - Was enjoying an easy lead when taking a crashing fall.
Can't complain when I have 2 in the money
Thanks to the team for running the races
