Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Great day for me on flat with 2 winners 1 3rd Envy Knighting won race 24 6f 2yo maiden but was a very close race J Harrison's horse losing by a nose.. Earlier in the race his horse was in the lead and mine finally caught up to him and caught him on the line very exciting race.. Blazer Ebony Mate won race 25 6f 3+ HCP this is a back 2 back win for him because he also won a 6f HCP last week.. I am very happy for him winning this sprint race by 4 1/2 lengths coming off of middle weight.. Please handicapper go easy on him he is the best horse I got..lol Very happy to get some wins on the Flat which is very hard.. Congrats all winners and placers

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
R21 Wild Blue Yonder (11th) - drawn wide and never went a yard. R22 Ned Kelly (4th) - didn't look like he was going to get a run for a while so did well to finish 4th. R23 Mr Kipling (5th) - ran ok. beaten by better horses. R24 Gold Chain (3rd) - solid effort from a very ordinary horse. R26 Dust Devil (9th) - drawn wide and never got involved. R29 Madness (10th) - hopeless yet again.
well done to all winners and placers.

Only two runners for me.
Sumoto 3rd again, loves that place. Inhisglory 1st, how does he do it, races at the back and always finds ways to get through. He continues to amaze me.

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
god knows how i bred a grand national horse hit lucky i guess Building a flat & jumps team for next season i have noticed that my flat stayers 2 mile horses 2m4 horses are transferring into jumps game as 2m & 2m4 nh horses so breeding any stayer looks tough unless you find decent gamebred stayers i remember 2m4 horses transferring in as 3m4 nh horses has anything changed since patch nh stayers were never my strong point though

Or are they just flat cast offs. I wonder how many people breed that way, I know this season they are mostly 80% jump breds from me and next season hopefully 100%. I like to have split breeding barns. I know it takes longer that way. Next season will be interesting because everyone might end up with the same type of horses, handy types( they are best for the league). I've got to admit that I've not 100% decided what way to go, pick them types of horses or just go with the best and hope for the best. I've got a horse Called Reference Point ( runs like his name sake) who I bred in August and that is 110% type of horse u want but do I pick him or do I pick the winner of my trails( whoever that is going to be). I don't know yet. My first set of flat trials is this weekend( got to many horses in my barn), I've got about 40 in each category so I want to get it down to about 12 in each one. Then i'm going to start my jumps program and then at the end of that do a little more flat before the finish. My horses bars seem to have improved but i'm not convinced the horses have improved. I think my breedings been a little disappointing so far. I hope in So6 that the jump bars mean more, they are almost irrelevant in this game.

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
id say over past 3 seasons of the lge 95 % of my time has been spent on flat team and 5 % breeding a few jumps horses
this season i trialed flat cast offs against my best former lge NHC horses to guide me to which are going to make good NHC breeders then i breed jumps horses from them but spend a fraction of the time i spent on flat team maybe a few generations i find that flat cast off make great lge NHC horses but only up to 2m5 i really struggle to find decent stayers out of the cast offs
i bred a grand national horse too thats not far off impossible

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
If i do breed some horses it will only be to get some 2yo's i like my 2yo's more than any other horses I hate breeding horses over 1m2 thats why i never win races above 1m2
