Also, with the Air Africana in-breeding bit. Is that all the same horse? Or is it the same horse transferred into the game again and again once the previous version's potential has depleted. I'm having a major problem with this, I can only use horses for a season or two before their potential is below 50% and then I'm not convinced they're worth breeding from. It would be good if we could get the horses a season after breeding rather than having to wait two seasons, I get so confused! :?

same horse on ttf file transferred in

he was exported on 03/02/13

once a horse goes past 10 in BB i ditch them they seem to go off

Use the ttf files system, it a must to get better horses for the league. I wasn't going to do that when I started breeding but I learned the hard way and lost a lot of good horses that I never got to breed from.

I always use it anyway. I just wondered if it was the same horse, or if Paul retires one version at 10 and brings in another version to breed with?

i could bring in 6 versions of the 1 horse at a time but notice the original is the best

copies don't do as well

eg Air Africana is better breeder than Air Africana ii Air Africana iii Air Africana iiii

save game last day of season
Transfer horse to pool at end of every season
then ctrl alt delete on 1st day of next season
force shut so5
reload game
you still have the horse in training
and a copy in ttf file
and so on

you can see i have 5 copies of Bull of a Mare in my pool

Hi Paul,

Seems you have some nice baselines to start you stayers lines.

I found breeding stayers the hardest out of any trip when i was playing the game.

It's also good to get some speed into those staying lines and mix it up a little. i.e 2m4f is the lowest i'd go with getting speed in you lines.

I've had great success mixing distances, but it does take time and effort.

You'll be surprised with what you find. Once you start to get good lines it's quiet easy to improve on the offspring.

Just my thoughts on breeding stayers and 3m+ chasers.

Good luck Paul
