 Re: Jumps Team Progress
Paul I tend to trail over Cheltenham because there's less carnage. My times for Brown Veil over at chelthnam is 9.33.72 on good ground and 9.53.44 on soft ground. I ran two races over the Aintree race course and this was the best time. Im not sure times matter over at Aintree and I have no idea if this is a good time or not.

Seems you have some nice baselines to start you stayers lines.
I found breeding stayers the hardest out of any trip when i was playing the game.
It's also good to get some speed into those staying lines and mix it up a little. i.e 2m4f is the lowest i'd go with getting speed in you lines.
I've had great success mixing distances, but it does take time and effort.
You'll be surprised with what you find. Once you start to get good lines it's quiet easy to improve on the offspring.
Just my thoughts on breeding stayers and 3m+ chasers.
Good luck Paul thank you very much for your advice Hemz much appreciated i will be bringing in some classy 2m4s once i get some decent 4m+ homebreds thanks again appreciate your expertise im a complete newbie at breeding out and out stayers Your welcome buddy. Has for Ghost he needs to set his trails to 5yo+ for his horses, they are only carrying 10st12 boys and 10st9 girls, instead of 11st10 and 11st9. It's been awhile but he has his age group opened in stead on setting the age for the trails. Those trails times will be false reading with the lower weight been allocated. Beacause each race in the league is age restricted. I never gone on times for the trails. To many variables which can alter the respected times. Consistency as always been key for me.

I've only got 6 entered this week on the flat. I've not done my jumps yet but my best horses might have run their last race.

Good luck Paul I got to admit I always leave it on the default setting because thank you very much for your advice Hemz much appreciated i will be bringing in some classy 2m4s once i get some decent 4m+ homebreds thanks again appreciate your expertise im a complete newbie at breeding out and out stayers Your welcome buddy. I got to admit I always leave it on the default setting because I know where I stand with all my horses. I think whatever u used when u started breeding last year u should stick with because it gives u a better understanding of u horses. I like times because it shows u how much ability they have but the trails is where its at and getting them right.

 Re: Jumps Team Progress
I'm just so glad i don't have to trail jumpers anymore.
Think i aged 10 years from the constant messed up results and not knowing which horses to go for come the league.
It was a totally pain in the %^&*

It was a totally pain in the %^&* I'm actually enjoying it now. It's like a big puzzle, and u need to put in piece by piece to come up with the whole picture.

I get the puzzle bit yes, the enjoying it part, not for me tbh. I've done 1000's of trails over the seasons and it's not enjoyable one bit imo. You must be the first person who enjoys trailing.

Last Saturday I watched 60 3m chase races and sunday I watched 60 3m2f chase races. I enjoyed it and learned a lot.
