 Re: New trainers
Welcome aboard new trainers and good luck. Looking at the schedule I noticed a lot more 2yo races than last season. Maybe some easy spots for picking there. My spruced up and simplified easier to read schedule can be found here... http://www.startersorders.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=8854My approach is to have some horses who excel at 5/6 - 7/8 - 9/10 furlongs for each age group. I have some older horses for 11/12 furlongs too but being as my horses are bred for the American schedule I am at a disadvantage there against the Euro trainers. I try to have equal parts male to female but the talent level usually decides that. I've split my twenty horses this way - 7 2yo's / 5 3yo's / 8 4up's.

 Re: New trainers
Oh yeah if you have one race you really want to win maybe a classic or a local race that's personal to you trial your prospective horses at that race's racetrack and at that particular race condition. You might find you have a killer at that special race and you just might spring a big surprise come race day.

 Re: New trainers
One more thing If you have a top soft course performer - use it. They seem to have a huge advantage on soft courses against the rest.

You just need to edit it to display some other details like your name. Go to NH Stable and click on the edit icon

You can do either. Usually best to do it each week, especially handicaps but sometimes with holidays or other commitments you have do a couple in advance.
