The soft ground at wetherby gave me 2 x 1sts and a 3rd The next few weeks I think u going to make hay while the sun's not shinning.

Quote: Paul and our two mile chasers monreal and long engagment they were a long way in front of the rest Bucanneer will give these two a race, as long as there is the word soft in the ground description. He is much better than Dragon Keeper from last season and a machine at Cheltenham.

I think she can win some big races on route to cheltenham but doubt she has the stamina to with the queen mum

I think the three mile hurdling division is the strongest division of this year's jumps. I think who ever comes out top will be the best horse in the whole game.

My horse is the same, if there's no soft in the description then see wouldn't run, my horse for fast ground is Welsh Oak( fell last week), he will only run on better ground might not see much of him until later in the season though because he fell he might try to sneak in a pertemps qualifying race.

Re: NH : Talk Reaction Banter
a very mixed set of results today.
R1 Dusty Tools (3rd) - ran ok. lost his position with a circuit to go and never got back into the race with a winning chance. R3 Time Charter (3rd) - ran well. travelled as well as anything in the race but found a couple of horses too good on the day. R5 Oblivious (2nd) - very encouraging debut. took an age to get going and will be better on a stiffer track. R6 Upside Down (F) - fell 10th R7 Flakey Dove (4th) - my best hurdler and was expecting her to win so that was pretty disappointing. R8 Soldier Blue (14th) - no idea what was going on there. R9 Tobermory (F) - I thought he had an ew chance in this but he only got as far as the 3rd fence. R10 Park Road (2nd) - should have won this easily but got a terrible ride.
well done all winners and placers

Re: NH : Talk Reaction Banter
Zod World (14th) - The last to finish, shocking run One World (14th) - As expected, totally outclassed Lundos (7th) - A very close 7th, excellent run Bang Bang Bang (7th) - Last of the finishers, running well into the jockey took a pull 5f out and faded. Too much weight from last year though Say My Name (8th) - Another who was expected to struggle Aristofilia (5th) - Excellent debut in the West Yorkshire hurdle Agage (4th) - Put behind his awful debut last week with an excellent performance in the Charlie Hall Bullfighter (16th) - Trip too short and not good enough.
2 great results for me in the 2 big Wetherby races.
Well done to all winners and placers today

Re: NH : Talk Reaction Banter
More than happy with today.
Sybillin 1st, all my 2m hurdlers have ran well but i'm glad I finally won one. Returning 0, ran a shocker. Gaye Brief 2nd, delighted with that, a improved performer from last season. Moari Venture 2nd, got beaten by a better horse on the day but lives to fight another day. Lo Stregone 1st, Loves this horse, tough as teak, will plod all day long.
Paul was it a case she didn't stay because she showed her massive turn of foot, those last two jumps cost her. If she was mine I'd try to sneak a h'cap out of her before she goes back against the big boys, she's going to be well h'capped. She could clean up with a rating of a 103, a big dilemma.

I see you sneaked ahead of me in trainers champs today i don't think she stayed mate but obviously she should be well in now and a big handicap 3m - 3m5 is on the cards now this was not the original plan though

Seriously impressed with my two distance horses West Side Story and Whisper Bridge, but by winning they won't have done their National claims any good.

It now's gives u the option of going the Hennesey and say Welsh National route if wanted to. My moneys still on u to win the champ, I'm happy just to plod along( like my chasers) and put my horses in postion's to win.

Plus I know everyone wants to win the National but unlike last years clean National this year most horses could fall and its in the lap of the gods and that's whats special about that race.

The winner and second from last year will be in it again this year. They both still well handicapped and I don't think Red Revolt has ever fallen in my trials. Touch wood that will be the case in this seasons race. R11 - Wild Array - 3rd - Ran on well R12 - Audacity - 1st - remains unbeaten and jumped really well. Looks like he may be a force this season R13 - The Ark - 4th - Hated the course yet still ran 4th was hoping for midfield. She is a monster at Chepstow but could have done with a lower rating R14 - Leige Lord - 4th - Another who was closer to the winner than I would have liked. Options may be limited now R15 - Taskmaster - 7th - As per normal my bumper horses don't do well at the start of the season. Will improve R17 - Misogynistic - 6th - My best 3 mile hurdler so a 2m5 chase was never going to suit R18 - Hall of Mirrors - 7th - Ran a shocker which means he has got a nice rating R19 - Masked Stranger - 1st - My best 3 mile chaser but has now won 2 races over shorter. Will be even better stepped up in trip R20 - Moral Issues -7th - Given a shocking ride but goes to the Hennessey with a big chance now Big week this week with loads of prize money at Autueil. Unlike like last season I have a lot who have been put in the stable because of their love for Autueil. (Dogs of War is a good example ) Lets hope the ground is not too testing

Unlike like last season I have a lot who have been put in the stable because of their love for Autueil. (Dogs of War is a good example ) Lets hope the ground is not too testing I think everyone got one dilemma to think about with our long distance stayers, there's the Big Grade 1 at Cheltenham Festival. If u run in it u horse is going to go up and if u trying to keep a good h'cap mark for the national then u cant really go for it. My horse is aiming for Cheltenham and whatever happens after that so be it. Leon I've never seen Autueil run on good ground not even in the summer months, it's always like a bog. Do u have to run a certain amount of times to get in the grand national, I cant remember if it was. I think if we were to get as many stables as this next season then I think we will need more smaller h'caps on the jumps side like this sesson's flat.
