Re: NH : Talk Reaction Banter
If the league expands with more trainers lower rated handicap will have to come I was worried in week 1 on the flat with the handicapping too many small fields when your trying to put a maiden winner of a 7 horse race 0n 105+ the last horse could get rated to high.
Saying that week 2 as been much better I had to drop horse's in ratings that on form was rated to high after week 1 so its been harder this year handicapping I think the jump stables is higher in numbers than last season I would and this is just my opinion maybe increase stable size on the flat up to 25 but If we get more league trainers then 20 is fine.

Gray U will have to come up with a series of races like u did on the flat, the AW series is pretty cool. U will have to come up with a AW series or something over jumps , im showing my age but how the hell did we ever think that was going to work in real life.

Quote: 've never seen Autueil run on good ground not even in the summer months soft or good to soft both are perfect for me. Just not heavy!!!! or anything with firm in the description ( highly unlikely ) Red Revolt will go straight to the National without a prep run. Still has a decent mark and will upload her in the next upload window. Hall of Mirrors will run in the group races

Re: NH : Talk Reaction Banter
1993 last win won 10 races but only £17k Bit off topic but Jamie i hear you are looking to buy a horse is that right its a serious investment you are talking £10k - 20k per year in training fees and upkeep depending on your budget you can pick up some well bred types in the november horses in training sale you can buy a well bred horse that you could take novice hurdling but also could still be handy on the flat best of both worlds Heres a few that were decent value Nov13 Misty Sparkler (GB) Ch.F. by Mount Nelson (GB) x Statua (IRE) £7,500 Mistral Wind (IRE) B.F. by Hurricane Run (IRE) x Grable (IRE) £5,000 Twilight Zone (IRE) B.C. by Danehill Dancer (IRE) x All My Loving (IRE)(Sadlers Wells) £7,500 (amazing value) seriously bred on both sides you could send him straight to the barn he will produce winners Sadlers wells Danehill - Danehill Dancer Darshaan Shirley Heights does not get much better than that (Dam 3rd in Oaks)
Be My Rock (GB) B.F. by Rock of Gibraltar (IRE) x Supa Sal (GB) £7,000 Galeb Warrior (GB) B.G. by Duke of Marmalade (IRE) x Katrina (IRE) £4,000 I am available as a buying adviser (Mates Rates)

Just want to make sure you saw it but Judge Bender was at it again. Hard Gainer clearly finished third in R19 United House Gold Cup Chase. My first jumps placing ever - and in a group race no less. Hard Gainer is a sentimental favorite of mine as he was the first jumps horse I bred and best performers in game so far. My National hope the nicely named National Rose ran pretty good too. Which I'm happy about cuz I gots National fever.

Re: NH : Talk Reaction Banter
R11 Top Of The World (5th) - ran ok but will be better on a stiffer track. R12 Night Nurse (3rd) - very pleasing debut in a G3 and is another who will be more at home on a stiffer track. R13 Wonderland (3rd) - delighted with that. stayed on strongly from the last to snatch 3rd. R14 Blu Sky (9th) - solid effort and will be better over a shorter trip. got tired last 1.5f. R15 Saverok (1st) battled well to hold off all challengers last furlong. another who will be more at home on a stiffer track. will not be out of first 3 in champion bumper. R17 Pinewood (8th) - better over a shorter trip and a bad mistake 3 out ended any chance of a place he had. decent enough effort otherwise. R19 Cave Dweller (7th) - disappointing run over what I thought was a trip that would suit him well. got outpaced from before the home turn. will step up in trip nto. R20 Celebrate (8th) - trip was too short but ran on late to finish in the mid-field.
well done all winners and placers.

Had been looking into it but trying to press on with buying myself a house outright with no mortgage. I'm quite a way off at the moment so the addition of a horse wouldn't be the greatest idea at the moment, although myself and three friends are going to have a look in the July sales and if something comes up at the right price then I may have a go.

Re: NH : Talk Reaction Banter
Lunigan (8th) - A solid run Prince Lune (9th) - Very disappointing after finishing 2nd in last weeks maiden Sexual Healing (14th) - Probably one of my worst horses, faded tamely at the end Sepang (PU) - Accidentally entered into a 4m2f when he is a 3m horse. Hopefully he will still be able to enter 3m races after this Westmoreland Road (14th) - Second last in the bumper. Gone backwards since last week Day Trip (1st) - First win in a maiden in either code and first of this season, absolutely delighted. Confirms the form of a good 3rd on debut. Jewson here we come? Dry County (2nd) - Loved the soft ground, excellent return for this second season horse Call The Police (11th) - A moderate handicapper who will improve over a little further Delighted to get a winner this early and a second to back it up. Well done to all winners and placers today

Re: NH : Talk Reaction Banter
Quote: Masked Stranger looks the real deal by the way Thanks winning over 2m5 was brilliant, but the soft ground made it more of test which helped. Quote: what Masked Strangers target, the King George. Depends on the ground, but going right handed Dogs of War is really hard to beat. But if it is heavy or soft then maybe Masked Stranger will run. I have Inhuman Shield as well. So options are great.
