horses for courses mate taken me about 10 seasons to work that out, put a lot of work into race handy types specifically for these 2 races, very hard to pass a half decent front runner at Epsom, the only downside is they don't run that well at other tracks(compared to the rest of my string)so they will both be retired to the great recycling bin in the sky,got 5 2yo coming in ready to conquer santa anita and hanshin that was the plan at the start of the season.

I've never bred a horse for a certain race in jumps or flat. I'd always prefer a all round horse compared to a horse for a certain
race.

cheers nash we all know its flawed mate that was the main reason I bred front runners after last seasons classic runners, the only good thing was both races were run sub 2:30 hope you reconsider was looking forward to beating mootby in the leger

ghost I had held up/slight hold up horses last season winning all the maidens then flopping in the classics decided on a different approach got lucky that I had a very good 1m1f/1m2f handy type stallion(the stallion seems to pass on its running style to the offspring) and as we all know Epsom in the race kit is flawed just played on that really was quite confident that I would place in both.

The one thing I don't get is my trails over 1m4f were run slightly quicker than the league races and Acatenago was always just behind the leaders say the top 4 but he doesn't run like it in the league. I liked him because he ran near the front but he's out the back in the league races and if he keeps running like that then he has no chance of winning any race.

I've got two horses that just are natural front runners, Moon Cactus and Only Royale who won a listed chase last year. They have probably been the most important thing in helping my 1m2-1m6 horses. They run a lovely 26 secs and they take my horses into the last furlong. My 1m2f and 1m6f have been competitive but my 1m4 horses has struggled big time. User Friendly is the only horse that has been competitive, she won 2 group 1s last season but she needed a fast pace because she ran from dead last.

I put in more pace into my middle distance horses and Acatanengo was the best I had, so its a little disappointing after he ran so well in his maiden, he ran closer to the pace(like he did in my trials) in the maiden. He likes ascot and won three out of four trial races there so I'll see how he gets on there, is what it is.

William Butler (6th) - Good run, just out of the money though
Milth (8th) - Better over slightly shorter
Moohimm (2nd) - Excellent run off top weight, just couldn't quite get up. Could struggle to find races for him now though with his mark going up
Franken (12th) - A poor horse
Looney (19th) - Off the pace from the start, shocking run
Liquid Luna (11th) - Last and outclassed in the Coronation Cup

A great run from Moohimm but nothing else

Thanks to the team for running the races

Good day for me winning Race 1, a mad cavalry charge round Wolverhampton :) :) . Blazing Abbey was back to probably his optimum distance after just failing to stay in the Guineas. Back up in class for the Jersey stakes next.
Also a couple in the money in the stayers handicaps but my oaks filly, who is at least as good as Blazing Abbey, suffers from her running style. She will spring a suprise at some point though

Congrats to all winners and placers, especially at Epsom where my horses are always useless.

Happy with my three runners.

Magic Gleam 3rd, ran well in the gr2, she struggles to get the 5.
Land of Dreams 1st, I wish the jockey wouldn't take it up so far out.
Hector Protecter 2nd, done on the line but should be competitive in group races.

Castellet (14th) - Outclassed and finished second last
William Strider (10th) - Not good enough in G3 company
Too Much William (8th) - Was expecting a better run than that
Get What She Wants (13th) - She's been a big disappointment after her good debut
Nice Pair (6th) - Weakened badly at the end
Little Frankie (9th) - Missed the break but still expected much more on debut over 7f
Bus Link (6th) - Another poor performance

A collection of poor displays today

Thanks to the team once again
