Re: NH : Talk Reaction Banter
Turning Up The Heat (6th) - Beaten a long way but still managed to beat a few Musa Jets (2nd) - Another excellent run, this time in the Irish National Day Trip (Fell) - Took a crashing fall on the back straight Zod Sterling (8th) - Only beat 1 home Galaxy Role (7th) - Not a bad performance in the Scottish National Champ In Trouble (3rd) - Excellent run in the Bet365 Gold Cup. The horse comes alive on firmer ground Prince Lune (6th) - The trip was a little too far Dads Lad (6th) - Weakened badly, better over slightly further
Only 2 made the money but they were both in big races
Well done to all winners and placers, 1 week to go....

Re: NH : Talk Reaction Banter
Bestest week ever for me in the NH League!
Race 29 - Cicada wins the the Bet 365 Gold Cup Chase. I guess a Group 3 Handicap qualifies as a Group win right? If so my first jumps Group win!
The rest of the highlights..
National Rose - 2nd On Dasher - 2nd Quiet Please - 2nd Sirius Chill - 2nd Jumps Legend - 3rd
This weeks results did a lot to help the recovery from the utter heartbreak of losing my rider in the Grand National.

Thanks Foll'! $90k winners share is a nice chunk of coin! Wins are so few and far between for me in my inaugural jumps season that when any of my charges are near or on the lead approaching the wire I'm literally on the edge of my seat willing them to win. oh yeah I'm planning on winning every race I enter this week to take the division 2 title . . . . what's so funny???

Re: NH : Talk Reaction Banter
Can we extend the season it's the first time all season my horses have hit form Vagador1st, finally showed what he did in my trials, perhaps I got him wrong and should have been running over 2m4 instead of 2m. Senorita Rumbilia 3rd, came good at the end just a little to far. Three Counties 2nd, the most unluckiest horse in the league, never got to really show his best. Gaye Brief 4th, 6 times in the top 3 but never won. Barney Knows 1st, ran 12 times and a dual group 1 winner but always showed up for a fight. Tropical Lake 5th, if only she could have jumped better. Mossvile 1st, yes yes yes my baby goes out on a winner, ran 4 times on softish ground and won all 4, one of my all time greats she was special. Lo Stregone 1st, waited all year long to get his ground, a freak bred horse and has a freakish ability, all most didn't make my team because it was a close call between him and his full brother Carvills Hill.

Re: NH : Talk Reaction Banter
Bullfighter (Fell) - Fell at the second last when looking beaten Say My Name (6th) - Without the mistake at the second last she could have placed Zod (4th) - Has made the money in quite a few big pots. However, he remains a maiden after the last race of his 3rd season Day Trip (7th) - Has had worse runs but has been a big disappointment since his maiden win in week 2 Suit and Tie (7th) - Got left at the start and, as a frontrunner, that was race over One World (10th) - Didn't see out the trip and only beat one home Agage (Fell) - Took a crashing fall about halfway round. Shame he couldn't win a decent race this season
Poor day with only 1 making the money but there are better chances to come later in the week.
Well done to all winners and placers

Re: NH : Talk Reaction Banter
R1 Soldier Blue (6th) - along with Topper, this horse is proof that trialing for the league is a complete and utter waste of time. R2 Flakey Dove (9th) - had a big weight and trip was too short. still a really poor effort. R3 Night Nurse (8th) - too much weight and wants better ground but was still desperately poor. R4 Pinewood (3rd) - finished a clear 3rd but was placed 5th on results screen. R5 Daylight (4th) - good run, weakened last furlong. R6 Time Charter (3rd) - given too much to do. did well to place. R7 Topper (0) - started slowly and got slower. just about slowed to a walk at almost every fence. R8 Top Of The World (2nd) - really good run. much better than expected. had no chance with Davy's winner though. R9 Cave Dweller (1st) - a rare outing over his best trip and my best chance of a winner this week. a deserved success after getting chinned on the line by one of Paul's horses at Cheltenham last time out. R10 Boucher (5th) - started the season well but has been poor most runs since about week 4. well beaten again. well done all winners and placers.

Re: NH : Talk Reaction Banter
Chuffed with my wins yesterday in Sailor Jerry and Conserve, both top quality horses.
Soldier Hollow ran a mighty race upped in grade but just wasn't good enough to trouble the machine that is Lo Stregone, what a horse!
R11 - Silver Story won again. He is the best horse I have at home in the CK but didn't really put it into play in the league, similar to Celeric which makes me think it's just down to the league pace. Pleased he rounded off his campaign well after looking a little out of sorts earlier in the season.
R13 - Knockara Beau what a performance!!! Unseated his rider at Aintree and looked out of sorts at Punchestown last time out, a repercussion of that spill I reckon because he was back to his very best today and absolutely thrashed some high quality horses by 9 lengths!! Amazing horse.
R14 - South Korea I decided to give a spin over fences but it didn't work out for us.
R20 - Mindanao Fun ran a big race off a big weight but just couldn't get back at the winner running a gallant runner-up for the team.
Two winners and a place on the second day of racing.

Re: NH : Talk Reaction Banter
R11 Glitterball (2nd) - great run. I thought she might win jumping the last but winner was too strong. R12 A Deeper Blue (3rd) - good effort under a big weight. R13 Tobermory (9th) - has been a bitter disappointment over fences so got to have a go in a G1 hurdle and was completely outclassed. R14 Wonder Of You (2nd) - ran well. just didn't have the pace to hold off the winner after the last. R17 Park Road (1st) - had a big chance at the weights and made no mistake. R19 Beware Of The Hare (3rd) good run. every chance 2 out but couldn't keep up with the first 2. R20 Age Of Reason (4th) - decent effort but would have preferred softer ground.
well done all winners and placers.
