 Struggles in this class?
One ennoying thing that happened to me is I breed a great filly that went on to win the oaks and was unbeaten. Then she ran in the Irish oaks and was competing against a whole field that had not even run a race. She was well beaten finishing around 12 of 20 , how ? Then the message afterwards said that she struggled in this class. Has anybody had anything like this happen to them.

If u think the flat is hard try the jumps it's even harder to win abroad.

 Re: Struggles in this class?
This is something I've struggled with. I have a horse who wins in a certain class (it can happen in class three handicaps, never mind Group Ones) and then I enter it in a similar race to the one it won before and rhen it gets beaten a long way with the comment "struggled in this class"

 Re: Struggles in this class?
its something to do with the courses you run at, in this game the derby at Epsom is generally suited to a 1m3f horse so if you have a 1m3f/4f horse it will win. wheras the curragh is for a genuine 1m4f horse so the 1m3f horse will struggle.also if you run a 1m3f 3yo horse in the arc you will see if you have a serious horse or not running against the older horses and the track.

 Re: Struggles in this class?
I posted similar on another thread , i can have multiple group 1 winning horses but invariably they'll struggle in international races .

I have this too - I play on the Australian tracks - then race in New Zealand...where at least I can place but not win - then off to Japan and HK which I can only get mid field. I can place in Dubai but no chance of a winner.

 Re: Struggles in this class?
It's not that easy to win abroad and i think this is not necessarily a bad thing and realisitc ( better than easily winning every group 1 race with a horse in every country) I have a few horses with multiple foreign group 1 races. The horses have to be really good though.
